Clarity Creates Influence

Earlier this week I attended a Keynote Speech by Garrison Wynn. One of the key takeaways was the idea that clarity creates influence. In other words, if you can’t communicate your ideas, goals, and actions clearly then respect will not be achieved and you will have zero influence. The same goes for communicating within yourself. You need clarity to know WHY you’re going to the gym, WHY that big project needs to be completed, and WHY you’re going that extra mile to help someone out. If you’re not clear on WHY you’re doing it, then you will lack motivation and inspiration. Remember, ACTION is within all of us, just add the fuel called clarity to ignite the ACTION flame.

  1. This is so true, and great food for thought. I often think of it as values– I say you need to know what you value in order to be inspired and remain motivated by it. Maybe I’ll write a blog post on it at Living Intuitively– inspired by yours. Thanks for this post, it’s fueling great clarifying thoughts in me!

  2. This post reminds me of an amazing quote from Einstein:
“If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough”
That reminds me to make sure I know what I am talking about before I open my mouth.
