Make action a daily habit.

It’s been a dream of mine to inspire people. To devote my free time to provide people with the tools and knowledge to be amazing and live the life they want; to not run away from fear but to embrace it; to synchronize mind and body. I’m driven by the desire to help people be their best, to do great work and to make a difference and I truly believe anything is possible with an action mindset.

I had been struggling trying to manifest an approach that would actually make a difference for the past 10 years, but was stifled mostly out of fear and my own insecurities. But on January 18th 2012, I walked into my house after work, fired up my computer and created this website and manifesto. As I started creating my website my mind led me back to the following situation and how it changed my life…..

On November 17th 2011, I woke up with a debilitating IBS flare up.  I couldn’t get out of bed for 24 hours, I lost a ton of weight, and it had lingering effects for almost 1 week. It took me almost 3 months to get my weight back up to where it had been before the flare up.  The flare up was caused mostly by stress, lack of sleep and bad habits. It was clear to me just how connected the mind and body are. It was at this time that I decided I needed a lifestyle change. The greatest part was that I didn’t just need to change, I actually wanted to change. I needed to reduce my stress by not worrying about the future or dwelling on the past – I needed to be present. I had to make the connection between mind and body in a positive way.  I was determined to create “good” habits by being more active. I started practicing yoga, meditating, getting out in nature by trail running and taking hikes. I started eating better: more fruits, less preservatives and drinking lots of water. I piqued an interest in studying Zen and Buddhism. The importance of incorporating minimalism into my lifestyle also brought on a profound difference in the realization that possessions mean nothing without meaning.

I realized that on the day I created this website and in the months and weeks prior dealing with my IBS flare up, it’s as if I had come alive through ACTION.  ACTION, being determined and confident to change my lifestyle and mindset, was required to make my dreams come true.  I was determined to make action a habit.

I will devote my life to sharing my thinking, inspiration, productivity, health and wellness tips to help others inspire action as a daily habit.

Remember, every single life has the ability to impact and inspire others. How will you use your life to create value for others?

  1. Everything happens for a reason- what may seem to be a negative scenario at the time- may have extremely positive effects in the future- such as this. So awesome, Seth!! Way to kick butt through ACTION!!!!

  2. A few years ago one of my favorite people in the world gave me this quote – Action dissolves fear. I think of it all the time. It gets me off my a*s and moving and works like a charm. Also you should read The War of Art by Steven Pressfield and the follow up book, Do the Work. Same message. Your blog reminds me a lot of mine except that I advocate being still and creating space in your life to hear that call to action.:)

  3. You are simply amazing. Your blog and your ACTIONS are truly inspiring. I look forward to spreading the word and instilling ACTION into my life.

  10. Wow, this is truly awesome! I am just now getting to the point where its like, I have to take ACTION! Its so true what you are saying because I have so many desires and urges to help people who had gone through the same things as me but lacked the personal motivation to act on it and follow through consistently. Thanks for the blog……

  11. “. I needed to reduce my stress by not worrying about the future or dwelling on the past – I needed to be present.”

That line really hit home for me. I’m at a point in my life where I really need to make a lifestyle change to reduce stress as well. I can’t wait to read more of your posts.
